About The Founder
At 18 years old, Self Williams picked up a camera and knew exactly what he wanted: to be a filmmaker who told the stories no one else would touch. He had visions of films that lived in his head for years—films that didn’t play by the rules, that didn’t chase trends, that didn’t bend for the dollar. He thought the industry would be the place to make that happen.
But years of working behind the scenes on big-budget projects, feature films, and TV shows taught him the hard truth: once the money walks in, the art walks out. Directors sell their vision. Artists fold. The stories get safe, predictable, forgettable. Self had enough. He built Imaginavision to do what the industry wouldn’t: create without compromise, tell the boldest stories, and remind the world that real art is the risk—and the reward comes when you stop chasing it.
